Royal Caribbean requires every guest of legal drinking age in the stateroom to buy the Deluxe Beverage Package if one of them does.
Bought onboard, Royal Caribbean drink packages are sold only during the first two days of the voyage and always cover the full remaining sailing.

Celebrity requires every guest of legal drinking age in the stateroom to buy the same drinks package, with exceptions (such as pregnancy or medical reasons) taking the Zero Proof package instead.

The Virgin Voyages Bar Tab must be bought at least 24 hours before sailing; it is not sold onboard.
Virgin Voyages does not sell drink packages.
What this line sells instead
No drink packages. Essential drinks (filtered still and sparkling water, non-pressed juices, sodas, sachet teas, drip coffee) are included for all sailors. Premium drinks are a-la-carte with tips included in menu prices, or pre-funded with a Bar Tab.
Bonus onboard credit added per Bar Tab, up to $250
Via Virgin Voyages app, My Account, travel agent, or Sailor Services phone; up to 24 hours before sailing. NOT sold onboard. Non-refundable once the voyage starts; does not carry over to back-to-back legs; shareable (no cabin-wide purchase requirement).
